The Alpine SWE-1000, is for those audio enthusiasts who love low bass at moderate volumes without the hassle of fitting additional amplifiers and sub-woofers loosing on boot space & making the interiors look all cramped and annoyingly loud. The bass kick is really awesome when listening to R&B, Rap, Drum & Bass. The low pass filter creeps in to do its bit effectively and can make you smile. I am using it in conjunction with 4 x fly speakers 150RMS each + 1 x Centre Speaker Alpine SBS 05DC1 (50Watt RMS) , 1 x JVC AVX 33 head unit. It really sounds like a B&O system even though have not used a 4 way amp for the speakers. Mind you the cost is well priced for its performance. The head unit (JVC AVX 33 )is the best one can buy for his/her money as it is absolutely mind blowing. The main idea is to achieve excellent sound with the highs & lows playing at peak performance even at low volumes. Excessive BASS given by 12" subs tends to shudder (loved it when I was a teen though), however the SWE -1000 does away with the requirement of additional amps /large subwoofers and loose boot space which is important to all and makes the interiors look like its badly Pimped .
