VIBE Technologies once again brings an industry first, the stunning new BlackBox range of Class GH BASS amplifiers.

Class G operation involves changing the power supply voltage from a lower level to a higher level when larger output swings are required. This involves a single class AB output stage that is connected to two power supply rails by a diode, or a transistor switch. The design is such that for most music, the output stage is connected to the lower supply voltage, and automatically switches to the higher rails for large signal peaks. Using two power supplies improves efficiency enough to allow significantly more power when compared to traditional Class AB or Class D amplifiers. Class G technology is becoming more common in professional recording studios.

Class H operation takes the class G design one step further and actually modulates the higher power supply voltage by the input signal. This allows the power supply to track the audio input and provide just enough voltage for optimum operation of the output devices.

VIBE BlackBox™ BASS HYBRID Class GH amplifiers combine the best of both of these new technologies to produce an amplifier that has all the efficiency benefits of a Class D amplifier with the smooth sound of a Class AB amplifier.

What does all this techno jargon actually mean? Simple, sound quality that blows away Class D amplifiers combined with 73% efficiency compared to 50% efficiency of Class AB. So we have the efficiency of Class D amplifiers and the sound quality of Class AB amplifiers.

All new features such as amp strapping allows 2 of identical amplifiers to be combined to act as 1 monster amplifier delivering a true 3000 watts RMS into a 4ohm load making it an ideal weapon for SPL competition.

Outputs are optimised for 2 ohm operation ­ meaning that maximum power is delivered at 2ohm as opposed to 1ohm so we achieve a cleaner more stable amplifier with less distortion and less of the amplifiers power wasted heating up speaker cables.

Fan assisted Internal Convection Cooling ICC™ vented technology is incorporated to eliminate the need for external cooling fins so enhancing the contemporary aesthetics of the amp whilst keeping things cool. Four layer circuit boards, on board variable active low pass and subsonic filters, Parametric-BassEnhance™ offers bass boost with 15dB of gain at your chosen frequency and built in DSP/ microproccessor circuit operation are all common features of the BlackBox™ Bass amplifiers.
