Product Description
 The XT8020 is a mature navigation and multimedia station fitting to any 2-DIN dash board, with truly impressive functionality and appealing simplicity. This new naviceiver deploys an OSD that has been tailored for easiest use and totally logical operation. The nav software is based on the well known iG08 engine, giving the buyer a quick and fluid response in navigation mode due to the build in 400MHz main CPU with 64MB SDRAM memory.
The map bundle comes with 43 European countries (full Europe) pre-installed on 2GB SD-card, also containing the latest features like Real Signpost Rendering, free or northbound 2D map orientation - while the already known iG08 functions such as Smart-Zoom or driving lane assistant or the POI database are of course still present. The fully car spec hardware guarantees reliable operation in very cold or extremely hot counties and environments, especially the DVD loader is of very high quality with its improved laser servo software and the high quality
Sharp HA61 laser pickup - made for years of trouble free service. Of course the attractive price will still ask for a compromise, i.e. for the XT8020 unit the BT hands free calling module and the iPod connection had to be omitted. On the other hand, DivX6 files are played back in full
glory while the USB port and the SD-card slot at the front side of the unit are a welcome addition too.
The OSD of the navi system offers a choice of 27 languages,with a voice guidance in 28 languages and with 67 different voices! The space on the SD-card is still limited, thus the known 3D citymap and 3D landscape effects had to be left out on this modeL .. But there is a
rotary volume encoder for most convenient operation, where the 6.2/1 TFT LCD panel does a fantastic job to make any kind of video playback a highly enjoyable experience. The 4 x 40W power output to the speakers are provided by the built-in class-D amp - and last but not least, the tuner section has obtained some extra careful optimization of the RDS parameters helping the XT8020 to impress with clear and stable radio reception - something that can not be taken for guaranteed, as we all know. There is an I/R-Iead to connect the XT8020 to Stalk/Steering wheel interfaces from Connects2 or ZENEC, making this unit a perfect choice for most cars that feature a 2-DIN dashboard opening.
Conlusively, we can say that the XT8020 is surely a high quality offer for the price sensitive buyers that still want the best for their money.
